Man school is already 8 weeks going steady .. volleyball has been entertaining our lives on the weekends and on Monday nights . Meagan loves that sport and she has gotten so much better since last year! Will share some pictures for you all to see her in her uniform!!

We have been lucky to have such cool temps till Mid April .. but the kids are sure glad it is getting warm enough to swim and play baseball . Jared is trying out for pitcher this season and Meagan she is trying to get the perfect TAN!!! Hope you are all doing well ...

Easter Gathering!!!

A fun time was had by all that were able to attend the Easter Gathering at my parents house. My brother and his family (which is growing by leaps and bounds) and my cousin and her two kids ... us!! All the cousins .. BIG and little had a great time!

Sorry we have been so busy lately I haven't had time to update the blog. Meagan will not do the family blog and it takes me way to long to set and figure out what to say and what pictures to put on it. I have some beautiful pictures of the dog wood trees blooming in our backyard!! And to think this may be the last year we can say anything about dogwoods in our backyard... Yes Troy has been worried for the last 2 months that he is going to soon be unemployeed. He was told the other day he may have 3 more weeks of work to do and then we will see if they fire him or not. He has some leads on other jobs but they are in San Antiono. That will mean selling our house and moving on.. I really love our house but as a family we must do what is best for ALL of us! Please pray for whatever the Lord has in mind for us to do and that it all goes smoothly!!

Wow -- what a wonderful day of watching our kids play basketball... Meagan is in the 7th grade A team that played in a tournament in Eustace that won 1st place .. Jared in on a lil Dribblers team here in Brownsboro ..he made two 3 pointers today!! But they lost. Oh well they played hard and tried their best!

We have been so blessed to spend the last 3 days with family from Austin and Dallas areas exchanging gifts -- laughs -- food! A fun time has been had by all and we want to Thank everyone for the time and gifts we have received. Here are a few pictures to show just how much fun was had!!!

Thankful Thanksgiving

The kids had a great Thanksgiving with Pops and GranGran playing and running off some extra energy!! They found a new way to run off energry -- my dad has round rolls of hay and they had more fun running on them jumping from one to another -- even the dogs had fun!!! Friday Meagan ,GranGran and myself went shopping with all the other CRAZY people in the world .. got most of Christmas shopping done!!! Well hope you all had a great weekend!!

Meagan is a TEENAGER!!!

Yesterday was Meagan's 13th birthday and did we do it up right! She had 3 friends to spend the night Friday night and then early Saturday morning we went to Frisco to the Stonebriar Mall. They had a blast shopping and trying things on ... the pictures will tell you alot! And after that we headed to the Magic Time Machine to eat. We had Robin Hood as our waiter .. he did a great job.

While away ... Meagan decided to pretty up her ankle !!! She twisted it in Basketball practice on Tuesday.. So all this week she has been putting her foot in a bucket of ice water!! yikes ! She wasn't too happy about doing that! Then the afternoon I got home .. Jared starts vomitting, we won't post any pics of that!! LOL

Hannah Rachel Brooks

Well she is finally here!! Heather did a great job for 9 months feeding her and she did a wonderful job laboring and bringing her into this world!!! I got to be there for most of the PAIN and then behind the curtain to hear her first cry!! Hannah worried me at first because she isn't a big screamer but we finally go her to cry aloud!!! I also got to give her the first bath!!! She is so beautiful and calm!! Thanks Joey and Heather for letting me be there!!!

Jared's 9th birthday

Today is Jared's birthday and we went to an amusement park in Tyler (Firemountain). It was a great place for kids his age with lots of energy!!! We all know Jared has lots of energy and is the spark in our family! It is really hard to believe that my Baby Boy is 9 years old --but he still loves to kiss me and hug on me which is all that a mother hopes will never end! Here are a few pics to share of the party!

Busy Times

We have all been running in seperate ways and all together. We went last weekend to my parents house for a Baby shower for Hannah. Heather got lots of cute stuff. We were lucky enough to get to keep McKenzie on Saturday while poor Julee had to work. The puppies are so cute -- available if anyone would like one. And lastly the parade pics were the POW WOW here in town .. Meagan was Sylvester!!!

Cruise to Progresso and Cozumel

This past week Troy and I went on a cruise and left the kids with Mimi (the brave one). She and the kids did great and I believe she wore them out. Troy and I had a great time and are very greatful that the Oefingers' invited us to go with them.. Cozumel has such beautiful water that we got to go snorkling which Troy loved. Progresso wasn't so pretty -- we went to the beach and relaxed with our friends -- Troy and Mike played a 2 hour game of crocket while Angela and I swam in the ocean and got some sun.

Volleyball Season

Meagan has began her volleyball season and did well by making the "A" team. Today we had a tournament in Van and they lost but are much improved from their game in Athens on Thursday! As you can tell she has alot of fun with all her "Besties"!!

First Day of School 08-09

Well here we are and the summer is over!! We all have mixed emotions but for the most part we are ready to get in the routine of school or whatever that it may hold for us. Jared was up bright and early dressed and had his bed made! But Meagan in the other hand had to be awakened... but she was able to primp and get fashionably ready for her first day!!

They are getting so big and we are very proud of them. We wish them the best year ever and will pray everyday that they are learning all that they can to make them responsible, God following adults!

Last summer trip

For the past weekend we went to GranGran and Pops' house. Jared got to shoot his guns and Meagan and I got to go shopping. We bought school shoes and school clothes in Austin on Tax Free weekend.... are we crazy ??? But actually we got in and out on Friday morning before it became too crowded!!

Fast Summer

Meagan's friend from Abilene came to spend a long weekend ... they had fun making crazy videos ,singing songs, taking crazy pics and swimming. Then we went to NRH2O for two days -- the first day was with our cousin's( who have been in Guam for 2 years).
We also took pics of the "Cousins" for Mimi and at the end they got a 'lil CRAZY!
And the second day was with the Griffin's -- it was our 3rd annual trip together! We all had a blast and the crew sure was hungry and tired when it was all over!!
The summer has already gone way too fast -- now we are getting all the last minute Dr appts done and ready for Meagan to go to JR High and Jared to start the 3rd grade!!

A Crazy Sunday

Jared had his baseball awards sunday. And his team got 3rd place! I liked their team name, it was cute!!! The Rock Hounds!! Jared was # 08 this year. Then on that same day, Jared saw two snakes. One was in the pond and she shot it with Jared's bb gun! Thats kinda normal for her!! I am just kidding! The other one jared saw when he was "attempting" to shoot turtles off of the logs they were on. He was walking toward the street then me and my mom heard...
"WHA AHHHH AAAHHH!!!" And Jared had found a snake!! Just if your wondering, no it didn't bite him, he just was just scared to death! So that was the sunday buisness! We are going to our grandparents house tomorrow and we will be there for 2 1/2 weeks, so I will be updating from their. Don't expect me to update every single day though!! I'll try my hardest to get pictures and exciting stories for the blog!!! I couldnt get the pictures to download but as soon as i can i will try again!!

Hi, we are The East Texas Gailey's! There's Suzanne ( Mom), Troy (Dad), Meagan ( Oldest child, daughter,and older sister), And last but not least Jared (youngest child, son, and younger brother). To be a little more specific....

This is my Dad A.K.A. Smiley!! If you are in our family you will get that joke!! He is the BEST! He loves playing X BOX wich makes him even cooler!! He is also really fun and funny!

This is my Mom she is one of those people who can work till their fingers bleed! She is AWESOME!!!! She is also a labor and delivery nurse witch i guess will come in handy one of theese days!

This is Jared, my annoying, fun, 8 year old, and sometimes hilarious brother. He (just like his dad) loves video games. He plays baseball and he is a really good batter. He has hit so many homeruns for his team this season that I lost count!! He also plays short stop and he is pretty good at that too! He also likes to hang out with his Pops. Pops has a goat farm and Jared likes all that country and all the goats and sheep!

And then there is me, Meagan, the older sister. I am 12 years old and will be 13 in november!!!!! YAY! I love to play basketball and volleyball. And i will be going into Jr. High next year. I know scary rite!!! I also love to sew. I know it's kinda different but thats me!!!!! I also have anotherblog of my own. ETexGurl.blogspot.com i dont update it frequently so if you want some news about us then you might as well look at this one!!!!
